PROVINCIAL PROJECT MANAGER

Position Summary
Reporting to the Director of Entrepreneurship and Program Development, the Provincial Project Manager takes a lead role in the management, execution, and promotion of Entrepreneurial Provincial projects. The Manager attracts participants and delivers programming by working with stakeholders, internal departments, program speakers, mentors, consultants, and program participants. The successful candidate will organize and provide training including, but not limited to, organizing seminars and events, delivering training, publicizing program schedules, booking resources or recruiting volunteers as required, maintaining appropriate data and contact information for each participant, collaborators, and the preparation of program related reports, briefing notes, and memos.
Responsibilities will include:
 Under the guidance of the director, execute provincial program delivery in compliance with the requirements of funding partners.
 Assist with the development and reporting on program grant proposals, marketing and operating plans and procedures, service standards, and goals for programming.
 In collaboration with the marketing department, assist with the creation, maintenance, and implementation of marketing strategies, including the distribution of material to appropriate internal or external offices and stakeholders.
 In collaboration with the marketing department, review and develop content marketing, including videos, articles, and digital media.
 Liaise with similar small business development organizations, governmental and educational agencies, as required, to be aware of existing programs and opportunities that will assist small business development and success for program applicants and participants.
 Develop collaborative networks or partnerships with national, provincial, and regional stakeholders regarding entrepreneurship provincial programs that advances YES’ objectives and reputation.
 Under the guidance of the appropriate director, participate in additional activities to expand the awareness of YES, including drafting documents and, when appropriate, representing YES at government consultations, internal and external committees, and public events.
Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications
 University Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Economic Development, or suitable equivalent
 Minimum of three (3) years of experience in managing a project at a non-profit organization.
 Solid understanding of service needs for entrepreneurs within the English-speaking communities of Quebec
 Experience with grant proposal development and implementation
 Excellent written and oral English communication skills, with excellent interpersonal and networking skills
 Ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a team
 Can/will-do attitude, diligence, creativity with a high level of ownership and accountability
 Ability to work well under pressure, manage competing priorities, manage processes, and enjoy a fast-paced, unpredictable environment.
 Ability to travel, periodically, around the province of Quebec
 Bilingualism is an asset (French and English)
 Digitally savvy … CRM/database management, video conference, event platforms and social media
 Very detail-focused and organized – your high standards are reflected in your work
 Strong administrative skills, respects and adheres to timelines and deadlines
 Flexible – able to shift gears quickly and you see attention-to-detail as a way of life and take pride in your work

Founded in 1995, YES Employment + Entrepreneurship is a non-profit community-based organization dedicated to enriching the community by providing English-language support services to help Quebecers find employment and start and grow businesses. We are looking for a committed candidate to fill a position managing and coordinating projects in the entrepreneurship department. The successful candidate will have a special interest in working in the non-profit sector; have an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong understanding of the entrepreneurial communities in Quebec.
